How to Get to/from
there is a service serving Florence–Pistoia (duration: 30 to 50
minutes, services: often), Lucca (duration: 45 minutes-1 hour, services:
every 30 minutes), Pisa (duration: 1 ¾ hours, services: 1 a day or change
at Lucca).By car
: the A11 passes by Pistoia as well as the SS64 and SS66 which respectively link Bologna and Parma. By bus
: there are services linking Florence-Pistoia and other Tuscan cities (Blubus: tel. 800 57 05 30; www.blubus.i
services: 4 a day). The bus office (tel. 0573 363 243; Via XX Settembre
71; open 6.15am-815pm Mon-Sun, 7am-8.10pm Sun) is the place to purchase
tickets, find information and take buses. It is opposite the railway
station from where you can get to the cathedral by bus 1 or 10.
there is a free car park in Cellini in the east part of Pistoia. Pertini
offers inexpensive parking off the railway station. The majority of
hotels give their guests a free street parking pass to park in the
centre of town.
